FAQ's

Q: I thought that I was on a sewer system, why do I have a septic tank? Why is it full?

A: Your tank holds your solids, the district pumps these solids out on a pumping schedule. The tank has to be at a “working level” to ensure that the effluent (dirty water) goes to the treatment plant.

Q: Why do I smell sewage in the summer months?

A: We are spraying the hay field with chlorine treated effluent.
