The Sewer and Water Districts meet the third Tuesday of each month at 16345 Sixth Street in La Pine at La Pine City Hall. Click here to see boundary map. FAQ'sQ: I thought that I was on a sewer system, why do I have a septic tank? Why is it full? A: Your tank holds your solids, the district pumps these solids out on a pumping schedule. The tank has to be at a “working level” to ensure that the effluent (dirty water) goes to the treatment plant. Q: Why do I smell sewage in the summer months? A: We are spraying the hay field with chlorine treated effluent.
